History of Mossuto's
Starting at A&S Deli in 1979, Biagio Schiano worked in his family's specialty market. He went to college at NYU working in restaurants the whole time. In 2003, he started his own full-service restaurant from scratch. He changed the name from A&S to Mossuto's, his grandfather's nickname. He wanted to preserve the Italian tradition from his upbringing while adding his own flare.
Mossuto's started as a Deli in 1979; we have mastered our specialty foods and serve them in our brand new deli case.
During the week, we offer price-fix lunch options from our deli case:
1 for $9 | 2 for $12 | 3 for $15
We carry a large assortment of Italian olive oils, vinegar, and other Italian specialties. We also sell our own pasta that we make in house.
Imported Pizza Oven
In everything that we do at Mossuto's, we keep with Italian tradition. Our brick oven is imported from Italy and we use the same process as in Naples.
Our tomatoes are imported from Italy and our basil is grown locally. Our dough and mozzarella are made fresh EVERY morning. We take pride in our ingredients and the ability to bring something truly authentic to the Jersey Shore.
